Counterargument Final Draft

Today is your last day to work on your counterargument paper.  It must be submitted by the end of the block!  If you are talking, walking around, listening to music, on your phone, you will not finish.  Also, I'll take your phone, headphones, etc. & sell it all on Ebay.

I noticed some common mistakes throughout your papers.  Please look over your paper & make sure that you're not guilty of the following:

• Using the wrong font -- you should have 12 pt Times New Roman for the ENTIRE paper.  No bold, no underline, no italics AT ALL.
• Headings placed in the "header" section of your document.  I can tell when you do this because it repeats on every page.  No thank you!
• Headings in the middle of the page/on the right -- your headings should be on the LEFT of the page.
• Incorrect headings -- your heading should be formatted as following:

           Firstname Lastname

           Miss Livezey

           English 9

           Counterargument

           10 December 2014

• No title.  I need a title.  Please & thank you!
• SPELLING ERRORS.  Please use spell check!  
• SUBJECT-VERB AGREEMENT.  Make sure that you are writing academically, not like how you would talk to your friends!  Use formal diction!
• Not double spacing your paper.  It's really hard for me to read when everything is jumbled together!
• Centering your text.  Make sure it's all aligned to the left, except for the title.
